Wellness is an ever evolving expression of our deepest selves...

My work is a synthesis of deep studies in advanced bodywork and somatic techniques. While the methods cover a broad range, they compliment one another and provide many access points into facilitating the expression of optimal health. By approaching wellness from a variety of angles, we can get to the roots of deeply held habits of movement, thought and self-image that may be hindering it's fullest expression.

We work together, with your body's wisdom as the guide to explore how to support and enhance the natural impulse of wellness to grow and adapt to the evolving circumstances of life.

My Journey in Manual and Somatic Therapies

For over three decades, I have immersed myself in the study and practice of manual and somatic therapies, driven by a passion for understanding and facilitating the body’s natural healing processes.

This journey has been enriched by receiving my foundational studies from some of the most respected names in bodywork and physical therapies, including Hugh Milne, founder of the Milne Institute and Visionary Craniosacral Work, Giorgia Milne of Touch of Presence School of Biodynamic Studies, John Latz of the Guild for Structural Integration, Osteopath, Pierre Vey of The Barral Institute and Judith Blackstone, founder of the Realization Process.

Teaching at Heartwood Institute

My career began in 1993, following over 1,000 hours of accredited therapeutic massage studies. I soon transitioned to teaching at the Heartwood Institute in Northern California, where I led classes in Swedish and Deep Tissue massage, Body Mechanics, and supervised Student Clinic and Professional Practices courses. This teaching experience deepened my understanding of bodywork and allowed me to share my knowledge with future practitioners.

Advanced Training in CST and Osteopathic Technique

Eager to expand my skills, I completed a two-year advanced training in Craniosacral Therapy with the Milne Institute. Working closely with Hugh Milne as a teaching assistant, I developed a profound appreciation for Osteopathic philosophy. My interests grew to include Pediatric Craniosacral work which I studied with Benjamin Shields and Visceral Manipulation that I trained in with the Barral Institute, expanding my ability to address complex physical issues from an osteopathic approach.

Trauma Repair and Somatic Education

In recent years, my focus has shifted to trauma repair and somatic education. I am a certified senior teacher of Judith Blackstone’s Realization Process and an Advanced Trauma Repair Therapist in her Healing Ground system. I have also completed a four-year certification in the Feldenkrais Method of Somatic Education, and am a member of the Asociación Mexicana del Método Feldenkrais (AMMEF).

Lifelong Learning and Continuing Explorations

My curiosity for learning remains insatiable. I continuously augment my skills through advanced trainings and classes. Recently, I have studied Craniosacral Biodynamics with Cherionna Menzam-Sills, Biodynamic Heart techniques with Michael Shea, Visceral Biodynamics with Carey Benenson D.O. and Infant Craniosacral Therapy with Lori Hendrickson, Concussion and Whiplash Recovery with David Zemach-Bersin, and Functional Integration for the shoulder girdle with Martin Mosimann. I also completed a 6 month training in Somatic Psychology last year with Manuela Mischke-Reeds.

Through this extensive and ongoing journey, I constantly refine my approach to better serve my clients, informed by a deepening understanding and appreciation of the body, mind, and spirit. My work continues to evolve, driven by my commitment to healing and my desire to explore new ways of enhancing my clients’ well-being and quality of life.
